Hello and welcome to the Venetian Bay United Methodist Church Youth Group website! My name is Elisa Duncan and I am the youth director. Bill Shaw is the assistant youth director and he and I are so glad you are reading this! Our youth group started in February 2010 as a young adults bible study and has continued growing from there. We welcome young men and women from age 14, or a freshman in high school, to age 19. We meet on Sunday's at 6:30pm at the Venetian Bay United Methodist Church office in the "Slash Room". The office is located at 133 Luna Bella Lane in the Venetian Bay Town Center.
We eat pizza and have soda every week. We talk about life and how to deal with different situations we find ourselves in. We welcome believers and non believers alike. Bill and I are a big fan of authentic people and we definitely want you to come as you are. We read out of the bible every week and talk about the scripture we read and what it means to us today. Our youth group identifies with this scripture in the bible found at Romans 1:16 "I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first the Jew, then for the Gentile." We call ourselves, "...Not Ashamed..."
