"Whoever embraces one of these children as I do embraces Me, and far more than Me—God who sent Me."
(Mark 9:35-37, The Message.)

At Venetian Bay United Methodist Church, (“VBay UMC), we also embrace children. In fact, we embrace children, and youth, and their families. In fact, we believe that it is God’s purpose for us to partner with the families of southwest Port Orange, and northwest New Smyrna Beach in helping to raise their children in lives of faith.

After School Program

Mission Statement
With our after school program beginning Monday, August 22, 2011, we will be offering warm, loving, professional, Christian care for elementary children in need of a place to go after school. Transportation, snacks, homework help, supervised Wii and computer use, supervised play time, reading, special art projects, and more, will all be available.

Rates
In the interest of total transparency and to assist parents in budgeting for their after school child care, Venetian Bay United Methodist Church incorporates all fees into the weekly rate per child. This includes registration and transportation. Additionally, it is our wish to serve all regardless of their ability to pay, so if the weekly fee is unaffordable to you please speak to us and we will work with you to meet your needs as mission of our Church."

Transportation
Daily pick up is provided from Cypress Creek Elementary, Sweetwater Elementary and Creekside Middle School. We also meet children arriving by bus from Chisolm Elementary School.

Parents' Morning Out

Mission Statement
We treasure the opportunity that God gives us to be in ministry to and with children!  We want to be personally present in their lives in order that the things of God would become real to them.  In so MANY obvious ways children represent the Kingdom of God in our midst; their wonder, their joy, their pure faith, and yes, even the unintended consequences of their exuberant behavior sometimes remind us of our place before God too.

We hold sacred the ministry that God gives us to share with children! After all, these precious children belong to Him! We want to faithfully and lovingly represent Jesus to them in every possible way. We approach Children’s Ministry with prayer and with humility as we place them all in His hands.

Purpose:
The purpose of Venetian Bay United Methodist Church’s (“VBay UMC”) Parent’s Morning Out (“PMO”) program is to meet the needs of parents by offering quality child care in a Christian environment in which children from 2 years to 5 years old (must be potty trained), can benefit from a group experience.
